HSSC Helps Make Sit Happen

Do you wish your four-legged friend had better manners or knew cool tricks? If so, you're in luck! Whether you're interested in just the training basics or entering your dog in competitions, we have a K-9 training course for you. 

Our six-week courses range from $60-$80 and are almost half the price of other courses in the area! Each course meets once a week in HSSC's Training Building for one hour and is taught by expert trainers with years of experience.

UPCOMING COURSES

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN

HSSC’s puppy class is designed for puppies 8-16 weeks old at the start of the class and is geared towards helping your puppy settle in to his new environment by teaching fundamental skills. These skills include socialization, with both humans and other dogs, impulse control and teaching your pup basic commands such as sit, down and walking on a leash.

Course Start Date: Wednesday, January 15th at 5:45pm


BASIC OBEDIENCE 1

Learn to teach your dog how to behave in your household. Positive reinforcement is used to teach your dog such commands as sit, down, come, stay and also walking on a leash. 

Course Start Dates: Monday, January 13 at 5:45pm


BASIC OBEDIENCE 2 

Earn a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certificate and build on the skills learned in Basic Obedience 1. These lessons include how to accept a friendly stranger, sit politely for petting, walk through crowds, react to other dogs and so much more.
