Humane Society of Sarasota County hosts its 16th Annual Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Contest

On Wednesday, October 30th, the Humane Society of Sarasota County will host its 16th Annual Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest at a fantastic new venue. Phillippi Farmhouse Market will welcome pets of all shapes and sizes dressed in their favorite          “Howl-o-Ween” costumes.

“We are very excited to partner with Phillippi Farmhouse Market this year for our Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Contest,” remarked Kristi Dorman, Executive Director of HSSC.  “We had over 100 pets participate last year and with over 2,000 people expected to attend the Market, we thought it would be a perfect fit for this very popular event.

The “howlingly” fun pet costume contest will begin at 12:00 noon and prizes will be awarded for such categories as “Spookiest Dog Costume” and best “Dog & Owner Look-a-like”. Those interested in avoiding the lines and entering their pet early, can go to www.hssc.org/howl-o-ween or call 941.955.4131 to register.  Registration the day of the contest will take place from 9:00am-11:30am.  The contest entry fee is just a $10 donation per pet.  All proceeds from the costume contest will benefit the Humane Society of Sarasota County.
