Insanity Plea for Michael Rice. THAT is insane

I may be a little impartial on this writing concerning the case of Michael Rice. You know, he shot an upstanding citizen, friend, son, father, brother, uncle, Phil Nahon. It happened at Bentley's. Apparently, it was just another day at Bentley's because they cleaned up the blood and had dinner service that very evening.  Anyhow, Mr. Rice is trying to say that he was insane that day he took a life. That is his defense as the trial goes on this week. I'm sorry but he had plenty of forethought. He chose to do this act. If he was allegedly bipolar since he was 18 but couldn't afford his medicine, why didn't he go to his local health department and get the medicine for free. In fact, the drug companies that make the medication will give it to you for free. 3 months supply. Oh, did I tell you that I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a couple questions on The shooters defense. He had the forethought to bring the gun all the way from South Carolina and apparently, many, many bullets. He also had some kid of pills in his vehicle. I suspect they were not for bipolar, but for pain. I don't know why I have that sneaking little suspicion. But I do. He had the money, by the way, to plan and pay for this Florida vacation, but did not have money to buy medication. That is a bunch of bull. In addition, if he was insane, and had a history of mental illness, I don't think he should have been able to purchase a gun. He was with his family. Why didn't they flag his gun buying permit. Oh, and he was a volunteer firefighter for his town in NC. I guess he was not insane when he signed up, got trained and became a volunteer firefighter. Apparently, he pretty much never displayed any kind of insanity, except for the Florida vacation when "he came to kill one person", as he stated to the officers that responded to Bentley's, as quoted in the Sarasota Herald Tribune. I guess our police officers are lying also. After working with insane people, through my career as a trauma therapist, I have never seen one that can do all of what Michael Rice did. Planning a trip and paying for it, reservations. They usually would get in their car and go. Not packing anything or barely packing the necessities. Michael Rice actually saved money to pay for this trip. Don't know many people that suffer from bipolar, that can save a dime. So, I don't know if I buy that diagnosis. I think what you suffer from, Mr. Rice, is that you had a few drinks, tried to be "big man on campus" told a person what you demanded him to do, to sit down, and he didn't want to. It made you angry because you were probably carrying on all day, and perhaps you were the pool clown or bully, before Phil came in to have a relaxing day. You had your ego hurt by some exchange with Phil. so you went and got your gun from you vehicle and killed that person. There were no voices in your head Mr. Rice. There would have been many indicators prior to then, so take your punishment and go far away. By the way, you are emotionless because you know you are guilty and you don't really care. You know you are going to prison. I just ask you to turn around and see the two elderly people with their family around them. That is the insane part. Those parents should not had to have buried their son. You killed more than one person that day, Mr. Rice. Don't try to back peddle. It is an insult to those that suffer from bipolar. You know, the diagnosis that you probably heard of or had to learn about in volunteer firefighter school. I hope you see Phil's face every night that you go to sleep in prison.
