Authorities Looking for Man In Connection with McDonald's Robbery

Authorities say a man robbed the McDonald's on the 5500 block of Fruitville Road with a pistol early Tuesday.

Authorities are trying to identify a suspect that reportedly robbed the McDonald’s, 5554 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, early Tuesday according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.

Employees called the SSCO at 4:15 a.m., to report that a man wearing a black mask entered the business, pointed a pistol at them and ordered them to the back of the store.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene. No one was injured.

 The suspect is described as a light skinned male, approximately 45-50 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and was last seen wearing a blue button-down dress shirt and blue jeans.
