Bank Of America ATM Robbery Suspected Arrested

Max Emerson faces an armed robbery charge after former coworkers identified him from surveillance footage.

A man suspected of robbing a woman at a Bank of America ATM on Dec. 1 is now in Sarasota County Jail without bond.

Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies arrested Max Patrick Vernon Campione Emerson, 19 of 8398 Cypress Hollow Drive, on Friday at his home without incident and charged him with one count of armed robbery.

Emerson was seen on surveillance photos taken at the ATM and then by security cameras at Macy’s Westfield Sarasota Square, which captured him walking into the store moments after the crime. He was identified by the victim, his employers at Mail/Pac N Fax and a former co-worker, according to the sheriff's office. Emerson had worked in The Plaza at Palmer Ranch, which is located just south of the Bank of America and Sarasota Square Mall.

Emerson is already on probation for felony charges in Tampa that include Burglary and Grand Theft, according to the sheriff's office.
