Best Buy Burglary Under Investigation

The University Town Center Best Buy was burglarized around 5 a.m. Friday and the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is looking for the suspects.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning burglary Friday at , 135 North Cattlemen Road, University Town Center in Sarasota.

Deputies responded to an alarm just after 5 a.m., and found suspects had driven a vehicle into a garage door at the rear of the store. Several masked suspects entered the store and fled within minutes, taking several items of electronic equipment with them, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff’s office has recovered four locally-stolen vehicles that were used in the crime. The cars were left in a parking lot at Cattlemen and Fruitville roads, the sheriff's office said.
