Cell Phone Thieves Hit Three Sarasota Stores, Deputies Say

Eight cell phones were taken from three different Sarasota stores on July 8, 2013.

A pair of female suspects may be behind the theft of cell phone at three different Sarasota retailers, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.  

According to investigators, the thefts occurred on Monday, July 8, between 3 and 5 p.m. at  Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. The shops were located in the 4100-4200 block of Tamiami Trail and 2300 Block of Bee Ridge Rd.

Deputies had responded to calls regarding thefts at the three different stores. The two suspects entered the businesses and were able to disconnect the cell phones from the alarm cords without activating the alarm, investigators said.

A total of eight cell phones were stolen. The two suspects may be driving a new black Chevrolet car.
