Investigation of Shots Fired in Sarasota

Authorities are investigating reports of shots fired in the 2600 block of 25th Street in Sarasota just before 10:30 this morning, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

According to witnesses, two suspects fired shots from the corner of a home toward another residence down the street and then fled on foot.

Two rounds hit a house which was occupied at the time but no one was injured, a report said. Two unoccupied vehicles parked at another residence sustained damage from at least five rounds, according to a report.
