Man Ran Meth Lab Out of Mom's Home, Investigators Say

Sean M. Flavell allegedly operated a meth lab out of the garage of his mother's home, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

A 25-year-old Sarasota man faces charges for manufacturing and trafficking in methamphetamine, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

Sean M. Flavell allegedly operated a meth lab out of the garage of his mother's home in the 2700 block of Nodosa Drive.

According to an affidavit filed in Circuit Court, Flavell's mother first contacted authorities on July 17, 2013, and expressed concern that her son was manufacturing methamphetamine.

When deputies arrived at the home, Flavell had taken some items from the garage and left the property, according to the affidavit.

Deputies took containers that appeared to be used for a "shake and bake" operation for analysis, and they later tested positive for the illegal substance.

Based on the investigator and findings from the analysis, Flavell was arrested and incarcerated at the Sarasota County Jail.
