Man Stabbed; Hit by Car in Road Rage Incident

A road rage incident Sunday evening resulted in a man being stabbed, then hit by a car on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota. Authorities are searching two suspects in connection with the incident.

Authorities are searching for a man and woman they believe were involved in a road range incident that resulted in a man being stabbed, then hit by a vehicle on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the parking lot at the 4700 block of Bee Ridge Road around 10:30 p.m. Several witnesses told deputies that the man had been stabbed during a physical altercation with the male suspect that was sparked by road rage. After he was stabbed, he was struck by the vehicle when he attempted to prevent it from leaving the area. The vehicle hit the man and headed east on Bee Ridge, the report said.

The victim was bayflighted to Blake Medical Center for treatment, a report states. 

The vehicle is described as a faded red, 1990s compact car possibly a Nissan, the report said.
