UPDATE: North Trail CVS Pharmacy Robbery Suspect In Custody

Police say man fled in a white pickup truck that had a flatbed.

Update: A Sarasota man suspected in the Sunday night CVS Robbery on the North Trail is now in police custody.

Sarasota Police arrested Tony L. Lynch, 38, of 3365 Saul Stars Court, early this morning, charging him with one count of robbery without a firearm or weapon, according to police.

Sarasota Police are searching for a man who robbed the North Trail CVS Pharmacy Sunday evening. 

A man entered the store, 3709 N. Tamiami Trail, around 5:42 p.m. Sunday implied that he had a firearm and took cash and the cash register drawer, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, 6 feet one inch tall, medium/ muscular build, with a shaved head. He wore a black T-shirt, black shorts, and white tennis shoes, according to police.  

Following the robbery the man fled the scene in a white pickup truck that had its bed removed and replaced with a flatbed, according to police.
