Pizza Hut Robbed On New Year's Eve

Sheriff's Office searching for suspect of a 17th Street Pizza Hut robbery.

A Pizza Hut on Lockwood Ridge Road was robbed late Monday night and the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has released a description of the suspect. 

Deputies responded to the Pizza Hut, 3251 17th St., Sarasota at 10:48 p.m. Monday for a reported robbery where a man in his 40s handed an employee a note demanding money and implied that he had a weapon, according to the sheriff's office. 

The received an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot; no weapon was observed, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s with a black beard, is 6 feet 2 inches tall, 160 pounds and wore an off-white hoodie.
