Surveillance Photos Released Of ATM Armed Robbery Suspect

A woman was robbed Dec. 1 while using a Bank of America ATM near the Sarasota Square Mall.

Investigators hope that the public can help identify a man suspected of an armed robbery Saturday at a Bank of America ATM shown in surveillance photos.

At 6:11 p.m. Dec. 1, a woman was approached by an armed suspect at the Bank Of America ATM, 8111 S. Beneva Road, when the man demanded that she withdraw money and then fled on foot toward the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. The victim was unharmed.

Surveillance video shows a man matching the suspect’s description entering Macy’s moments later with the hooded sweatshirt under his arm. The victim has identified that man as the suspect who robbed her, according to the sheriff's office.
