Thieves Take Makeup, Vodka, Cigarettes From Sarasota Salon
Security camera footage shows a sharp-dressed man and a hooded accomplice entering Roots Couture Salon the night of the burglary, Sarasota Police said.
Detectives are looking for a sharp-dressed man and a hooded accomplice who were seen on video stealing vodka, cigarettes and makeup from a Sarasota salon.
Surveillance camera footage captured the burglary, which happened around 1:24 a.m. Thursday at the Roots Couture Salon, 527 S. Pineapple Ave.
The first suspect is seen walking up to the door wearing a fedora and sports jacket. He peers in the door, looks around, lights a cigarette, then walks away.

Then a second suspect shows up, dressed in a light colored hoodie, and picks a lock to enter the business. The sharp-dressed burglar soon follows.
A short time later, both of them are seen leaving the salon, closing the door behind them.

Stolen were assorted makeup, eye shadow, powder, lip cream, foundation, two bottles of cherry vodka, a package of Marlboro Lights cigarettes and an iPod with charger, according to Sarasota Police.
