Tips Sought to End Vandalism Spree
Crime Stoppers of Sarasota is looking for information that will lead to the arrest of those responsible for a rash of recent vandalism cases at area businesses.
Vandals have been working overtime, striking Sarasota area businesses after they close up shop for the night.
Crime Stoppers of Sarasota is now asking for help to find out who is responsible for the spree that has taken place between Aug. 19-29.
“There have been five incidents where the windows of local businesses have been shot out, by what was likely a BB / pellet gun,” an email to media from Crime Stoppers said. All five incidents took place after the businesses closed for the night.

The following establishments have been targeted in the spree:
- Hot Diggity Dog 5666 Swift Road
- Demetrio's 4410 S. Tamiami Trail
- Davidson Drugs 5124 Ocean Blvd.
- Stragglers Bar 5580 Swift Road
