City, County Offices Closed For Labor Day
Trash collection will not be affected by the holiday.
City of Sarasota and Sarasota County administrative offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of Labor Day.
Trash collection will not be impacted.
The Regular City Commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. at City Hall, 1565 First Street.

Sarasota County government offices, including libraries, recreation centers and the History Center will also be closed.
Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus service, including the Longboat Key Trolley, a joint operation of SCAT and Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT), will not operate on Labor Day.

Garbage collection will not be affected for residential customers of Waste Management.
The landfill at 4000 Knights Trail Road in Nokomis will be open, but the landfill administration office will be closed.
Payne Park Tennis Center will be open from 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Arlington Park Pool will be open noon-5 p.m.
