Seven years ago I had a vision to build a sculpture representing America.
I do not make my living as an artist. Of course, like many, I wish I did.
No, I'm just a simple man that works in a metal fabrication shop. However, over the years, I have developed a small talent for making things out of metal.
I'm a patriot of America, and I love this country I live in. For the longest time, I've wanted to be able to show my patriotism. For the past seven years I have been working every day on my lunch and short breaks to design and build a sculpture that would represent America and the freedom we have. Many thanks to our Veterans and the troops still fighting for us to hold on to that freedom.
On Nov. 11, Veterans Day, I am honored to have my sculpture in the Veterans Day Parade and ceremonies in West Palm Beach, at the Centennial Square Fountains. The parade lines up at 12:30 p.m.
I hope that anyone who can make it to West Palm Beach will come out and support our Veterans.
