'Big Bang Theory' Star to Visit Sarasota Middle School

TV actress Mayim Bialik will promote an innovative school program called STEM, which stands for science, technology, engineering and math.

The star of TV's "The Big Bang Theory" and "Blossom" will visit Sarasota Middle School on Tuesday, June 4, according to WTSP.

Mayim Bialik who is not only a TV actress but also holds a PhD in neuroscience will talk to students in STEM education (science, technology, engineering and math).

More than a dozen schools in Sarasota and Charlotte counties are part of a program called STEMsmart's TechActive Classrooms of Tomorrow.

The classrooms are equipped with "Science probe ware, touchscreen computer student stations and LanSchool software that allows interaction (between) student computer stations and the teacher computer/ActivBoard," according to the STEMsmart website.
