Cardinal Mooney 'Olympians' Train for Scholastic Tourney
These student Olympians excel in feats of the mind.
Students on the Academic Olympics Team at have been training to take part in this year’s competitions against schools in Sarasota County.
Teams from nine high schools compete in the interscholastic matches from January through March.
After final elimination matches, an All-Star Team of the top-scoring students from the local teams will represent Sarasota County at the Florida State Academic Competition for Excellence, held each spring at Disney World in Orlando.
