Riverview Choir To Rock Out To Queen

Riverview High School Choir, Bohemian Rhapsody Orchestra will do their best take on Freddy Mercury Thursday night.

Choir will channel their inner Freddy Mercury Thursday night as the choir performs "Celebrating Queen."

The Riverview Performing Arts Center will host the rock tribute concert at 7 p.m., Thursday.

The Bohemian Rhapsody Orchestra will perform “Celebrating Queen,” featuring the best of the 1970s rock band Queen. The Riverview High School Choir will join in the fun for the finale, which includes the classic Queen anthem, “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

The RHS choir program includes more than 130 students; the program will receive a portion of the ticket sales for every ticket sold. Open to the public, the purpose of the concert is to give choral students the opportunity to perform music in the rock genre while raising funds for the choral program.

 “If you like to rock out to the music of Queen and help support a great choral program, buy a ticket!,” said David Verdoni, Riverview High School’s choral director.

The concert is a one-time only performance. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at the school’s front desk, from RHS choir students or online at: www.everybodysingsproject.org or at the door, if tickets remain.
