High school students can earn 45 - 60 community service hours this summer with Education First exchange student company.
We are bringing 110 teens ages 12 - 17 to Sarasota/Bradenton for 2 - 3 weeks in July and August. If your family welcomes one into your home your teen can earn the hours. We need 30 more homes before June 1.The Spanish /French students will be here July 5-30.
And your high school teen will earn 60 hours for hosting one of our exchange students. These students do not attend classes. They learn by being immersed into your family and spend 24/7 with your family. They do have one planned EF event each week.
And your own children can join us. The Chinese students will be here August 2-17. These students attend classes 8:30 am to 5:30 pm M-F. So this is a good program for working families.
Your child will earn 45 hours toward Bright Futures. The students are fully medically insured and bring their own spending money. Host families provide their student a warm, safe home with a bed, 3 meals a day and transportation to EF events.
But they receive so much more than they give. You will be making a friend for life.
My family hosted our first student 7 years ago. Her name is Sandra and she is from Austria.
This December she will be one of my daughter's brides maids in her wedding.
