PHOTOS: Grand Prix Super Boat Parade

The Festival of the Boats parade in downtown Sarasota didn't need water to make a good float.

The Festival of the Boats paraded wheeled instead of sailed through Sarasota Friday night featuring many of the Super Boats fans will see this weekend during the Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix.

Here's a rundown of events this weekend:

• Racer Meet and Greet

s Tropics Room
10:30 a.m. until noon Saturday

$5 Adults | Children 12 and Under Free

Participating race teams will sign autographs and provide giveaway items to guests.

Powerboats By The Bay

Centennial Park - 10th St. / U.S. 41
10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday
Free Admission - No coolers or pets allowed
Powerboats on display.

Entertainment Schedule: 10 a.m. to noon Matt Gerhardt Band
12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Shotgun Justice
3 to 4:30 p.m. Bikini Contest
5 to 7 p.m. Matt Facciolla Band
7:30 to 9 p.m. Soul Purpose

 "Power Cash By The Bay" Motorcycle Charity Ride

Registration 11 a.m. to noon at Linger Lodge Saturday

P4 class, Broadway bar and Impressions Made Easy boat. All the way this year baby! Great pizza and a wholesale sign shop. What a crazy mix. Come support us. We are a fully local Sarasota race team. All sponsors, drivers, and pit crew, all from Sarasota!
