Tim Holliday of Children's World elected to national toy board

Tim Holliday, co-owner of Children's World & Children's World Uniform Supply, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA).  Based in Chicago, ASTRA is a non-profit association that provides leadership and resources to grow the specialty toy industry.  It is the largest association serving the specialty toy industry.  ASTRA has 1,600 retail, manufacturer, and sales representative members.  The goals of the association are to:

  • Strengthen the part of the toy industry that is committed to providing children with healthy, quality play materials that have high play value.
  • Bring members of the specialty toy industry together to help each other succeed.

"ASTRA is so fortunate to have committed professionals who volunteer their time to lead this important organization and generate innovative ways to help members grow their toy businesses," said Kathleen McHugh, president, ASTRA. "ASTRA has always been member-driven, and our creative, engaged Board of Directors has always been one of our great strengths."
