Photo Gallery: Shamrock Pub Hosts Benefit for ALSO Out Youth

In an event publicized on Facebook as "1 and 1/2 Gays," Matt Orr and Rich Swier, Jr., the men behind Sarasota's creative-tech nexus, the HuB, stepped behind the bar at Shamrock to benefit ALSO Out Youth. On Friday night, all of the tips that Orr and Swier collected at went directly toward the organization, which was established in 1992 to support Sarasota's gay and lesbian youth.

ALSO Out Youth is an organization primarily geared toward individuals 13 to 21 years of age. Today, the organization strives to provide peer support services, education, social activities, and workshops for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, intersexed and questioning youth in the greater Sarasota and Manatee County area, as well as their families, friends, and allies.
