Sarasota, Bradenton Has No. 3 Cleanest Air In Nation
Honeywell-sponsored study found that Sarasota, Bradenton and North Port metropolitan area had some of the best air to breathe in the nation.
Breathe it in, Sarasota. That's some clean, fresh air that's deserving of an award. Scientists who completed a study for Honeywell, the air purifier maker, thermostat maker and a lot of air-related products, ranked the Sarasota-Bradenton-North Port metropolitan area as having the No. 3 cleanest air in the nation. Florida dominated the Top 10, with Ft. Myers-Cape Coral at No. 2 and Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville landing the top stop. Environmental Health & Engineering's scientists completed the study, which Honeywell is calling the AirGenius Awards. Lakeland-Winter Haven also ranked at No. 10.
