Wheelchair-bound Victim Bites Suspect's Hand To Fight Off Robbery
Justin Haney, 28, is charged with attempted robbery after punching a man in a wheelchair to get his satchel outside of a Walgreens.
A 28-year-old Sarasota man is facing an attempted robbery charge after authorities say he robbed a man in a wheelchair outside a Walgreens Tuesday. Justin Haney, of, 519 Richardson Way, Sarasota, was the man shown in store surveillance footage before he left the store at 3601 Bee Ridge Road, and approached a 45-year-old man in the parking lot, asking to buy pills off of him, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. The victim, Guerrero Aaron, told Haney he didn't have any pills, so Aaron went inside his car, according to the affidavit. While Aaron was inside his car, Haney came to the driver's side door and attempted to steal the victim's satchel, according to the affidavit. After a struggle between the two, Haney punched the …
