A Cordon Bleu trained and multi-venue restaurateur, Chef Ray Schilcher specializes in coastal cuisine. Hailing from Martha's Vineyard Massachusetts, Ray has developed and perfected his culinary craft over many years in a variety of gourmet venues. Ray's introduction to Sarasota occurred six years ago at Bob's Place, which was located at 600 Central Ave. in the Rosemary District. On Friday and Saturday nights Bob's Place was transformed into a gourmet Bistro with Ray serving a 4-course "prix-fixe" menu. This innovative dining concept worked well until the building was sold for development and Bob's Place closed.
