Costco Wholesale will have its Sarasota store grand opening 8 a.m. Friday at the Sarasota Square Mall. Thursday night, hundreds turned out for a free open house filled with free food and a chance to peruse the store — but you couldn't buy anything except for a membership to get into the store on Friday and beyond. When you join Costco in advance through Friday as a new Executive Member, you will receive a $20 Costco Cash Card. When you join in advance as a New Gold Star or Business Member, receive a $10 Costco Cash Card. Costco announced its opening date for Westfield Sarasota Square Mall store.
Update to Item No. 1: Costco will open Aug. 17, according to the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall. 1. Would a week worth of waiting torture you, waiting for Costo to open in Sarasota? Costco lists on its website of opening store dates that its Westfield Sarasota Square Mall will open Aug. 17, a Friday, but a Security and Exchange Commissions filing made May 24 says the store will open eight days later, Aug. 25, a Saturday, The Herald-Tribune first reported. Also on Tuesday, Sarasota Square Mall's Facebook page posted a response to a shopper's inquiry saying that an "exact date has yet to be announced" and that Costco would open sometime this summer.
