Crash at 12th Street and Tuttle Avenue sent both the driver of a motorcycle and van to the hospital for their injuries.
A 58-year-old motorcyclist is battling life-threatening injuries Friday afternoon following a crash on 12th Street and Tuttle Avenue. Sarasota Police are investigating a serious injury crash that occurred at 12:07 p.m., at the intersection that involved a motorcycle and a van. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries, according to police. The woman is at Blake Medical Center's trauma center in stable condition after overturning her car.
A Sarasota woman suspected of DUI is recovering at Blake Trauma Center after she led deputies on a high speed chase along State Road 70 and crashed her car in a ditch, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's report. Michelle Haddad, 30, Marlin Lakes Circle in Sarasota, was listed in stable condition this morning at Blake Hospital. According to a Manatee County Sheriff's report: Deputy Mark Pearson saw Haddad run a stop light at Lakewood Ranch Boulevard and State Road 70 shortly before Midnight Monday. She was heading east on State Road 70, going about 65 miles per hour. Pearson tried to catch up to Haddad when he saw her vehicle swerve across three lanes. 17-year-old Bradenton teen had four passengers in his SUV, and nobody was injured.
A Ford Explorer full of teens escaped injury after the 17-year-old driver crashed damaging property at King James Big and Tall Saturday afternoon. Florida Highway Patrol responded to the King James store, 4333 S Tamiami Trail, at 3:36 p.m., for a crash that damaged signs, landscaping, a sprinkler system and a retention wall at the store. A Bradenton teenaged boy driving the Explorer had apparently started to fall asleep at the wheel when the crash occurred, according to Highway Patrol. The teen is charged with careless driving, according to Highway Patrol. A white Ford Windstar van struck a man after he was ejected from his motorcycle just seconds after a crash, and the van left the scene.
Police are searching for a beat-up white Ford Windstar van that struck a 30-year-old man in Sarasota Monday evening and left the scene. Sarasota Police responded to South Tamiami Trial and Arlington Street at 6:30 p.m. Monday where a Yuri David Devilbiss, 30 of Venice, was ejected off of 2007 Honda motorcycle after striking a stopped vehicle at a red light, according to police. The crash, in a southbound lane, caused Devilbiss to land in another southbound lane was was immediately hit by a van that fled the scene, according to police. Devilbiss was flown by helicopter to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for what's described as non life-threatening injuries, according to police. A bicyclist struck at Lime Avenue and 10th Street Tuesday morning is in critical condition at Blake Medical Center, according to the Sarasota Police Department. At about 7:09 a.m. the Sarasota Police Department Traffic Unit responded to 10th Street and Lime Ave for a crash involving a bicyclist and a GMC SUV where the GMC traveled north on Lime when the bicyclist, William J. McCullough, 39, crossed the lane in front of the SUV, according to police. McCullough was flown by helicopter to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for critical injuries, but he is in stable condition, according to police. A Sarasota man is being treated for critical injuries after being struck by a car on Bee Ridge Road.
A 53-year-old bicyclist is being treated for critical injuries tonight after he was struck by a car at a Bee Ridge Road Sunoco. Florida Highway Patrol responded to Bee Ridge Road and Strathmore Boulevard at 8:13 p.m. Thursday where they found Gregory John Alan Sodders of Sarasota in the road after being struck by a car, according to a FHP report. Sodders was attempting to cross Bee Ridge Road from the Sunoco and entered into the direct path of an oncoming 2011 Toyota Camry driven by Michael Decrescenzo, 41 of Stratham, New Hampshire, according to Highway Patrol. Sodders was transported to Blake Medical Center, according to Highway Patrol. Decrescenzo and his passenger were not injured while the Camry suffered $3,000 in damages, according …
