Celebrate National Pancake Day in Sarasota

IHOP hopes to raise $3 million Tuesday on National Pancake Day for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Enjoy a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes Tuesday at the International House of Pancakes in celebration of National Pancake Day.  On National Pancake Day, IHOP gives each customer a complimentary short stack in hopes to raise $3 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  According to an IHOP news release, "guests will be encouraged to make a voluntary contribution to the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital or other local charities. One hundred percent of the donations will help local charities provide vital equipment, life-saving procedures and critical care for sick and injured children." 5 Things: IHOP Giving Away Free Pancakes

As part of National Pancake Day, IHOP is giving away free pancakes today and donating money to the Children's Miracle Network.

1. I hope you're hungry and will wake up early to get in line because IHOP is giving away free pancakes today as part of National Pancake Day. In return for a free shortstack of buttermilk pancakes, diners are asked to donate proceeds to the Children's Miracle Network. Donations can also be accepted online. Both IHOPs at 4000 S. Tamiami Drive and 1199 N. Washington Blvd. in Sarasota are participating. 2. Dr. Daisy Wang, Chinese Art Project Specialist with the Freer Gallery of Art, America’s national museum of Asian Art will discuss collecting Chinese art in America at a special ViewPoint lecture at Ringling Museum on Thursday.  Tickets are $10; $5 for Florida College students and faculty with a valid school ID.
