We are just one week away from Thanksgiving 2012. Are you prepared?

Most people plan Thanksgiving well in advance, but with so much time spent on the elections this year, Thanksgiving has kind of sneaked up on us. Would you believe, it's only one week from today to Thanksgiving (Nov. 22) and with it the traditional beginning of the Christmas season. If you haven't started planning for Thanksgiving yet, you're already in trouble, according to the website Epicurious. It suggests a six week prep time if you want to do the holiday justice. Where are the best places in Sarasota to buy all the trimmings and turkey you need? And if you feel like dining out that day, what restaurant has the best Thanksgiving meal? Serve up Delicious Sweet Potato Souffle Crunch With Your Thanksgiving Meal

Sweet potato pie is good, but this is souffle crunch is better.

I've been making this Sweet Potato Souffle Cruch for about 20 years of Thanksgivings now. I got the recipe from my Aunt Anne. I have no idea where she got it. I wrote down her instructions inside the front cover of a cookbook I got as a wedding present (see photo) and have consulted them many times over the years.  Anne likes to double up on the crunch topping. I sometimes do, but not always.
