What's Closed For New Year's
Sarasota city and government offices are closed for New Year's Day.
The City of Sarasota and Sarasota County administration offices will be closed on New Year's Day. Weekly garbage and recycling collection will be impacted on New Year’s Day as well. Regular Tuesday collection will be picked up the following day on Wednesday, January 2. Lido Pool will be closed on New Year’s Day. The Robert L. Taylor Community Complex will be closed New Year's Day. The county’s chemical collection centers at 8750 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, and 250 S. Jackson Road, Venice, are closed Jan. 1. The Sarasota County Landfill and Citizen’s Convenience Center will be closed on Jan 1.
