Chad Brockhoff, Neighbor

Chad was born in Charleston, West Virginia and moved to Florida's Suncoast in August 1987. He is a graduate of Booker High School, Manatee Community College and the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. His journalism career began at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune on Sept. 13, 1996, which was 19 days before his 19th birthday. Throughout the years, he has covered the Roy Jones Jr.-owned Gulf Coast SunDogs of the United States Basketball League and athletes such as current Green Bay Packer Sam Shields and San Diego Padres prospect Casey Kelly when they were prep standouts.
