It all began in 1997 when, at 19, I began compiling statistics into what was known as an agate page for The Gazette newspaper in Colorado Springs. I would go on to cover high school, college and professional sports for 10 years.

At the Bradenton Herald, from 2006-2009, I was an outdoors columnist, although I also covered sports and news through articles, photos and videos.

Recently, I have been involved in photography and videography for the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, writing for the Sarasota Convention and Visitors Bureau, sportswriting and photography for the Tampa Tribune and Sarasota Herald-Tribune, and, of course, outdoors and miscellaneous writing for AOL Patch.com.

I believe the Tampa Bay area has one of the best on-the-water outdoors scenes in the world.
