Tom Matrullo
I’ve lived in Florida for 22 years, but grew up in New York City, where I taught World Literature at the Pratt Institute and at Parsons School of Design before moving to Florida. I covered business and technology for the Herald-Tribune in the 90’s, and have been blogging and doing networked media for more than a decade.
I have several blogs dedicated to my interests -- these include parks, books, media, and neighborhood organization. For example: Lake Sarasota Community Blog Sarasota Civics 101 The Classics in Sarasota Elsewhere, I'm on Twitter and Facebook. Email: LakeSarasota@gmail.com So on Patch I’ll be writing about parks and recreational activities a bit, along with some thinking aloud about social media -- blogging, Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Foursquare, Linked In -- and what these new ways to connect, to speak and to be heard, might mean for our communities.
