Trayvon Martin Rallies Planned in Sarasota

The rallies to remember the Sanford, Florida, teenager who was shot to death are scheduled throughout the day Saturday.

At least three rallies in memory of Trayvon Martin are set for Sarasota Saturday, after the Rev. Al Sharpton’ called for "100 rallies in 100 cities."  

The Florida teenager who was shot by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood crime watch volunteer, will be memorialized at the following locations, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune:

• John Ringling Bridge at 9 a.m.;
• Sarasota County Justice Center at 1 p.m.;
• Moore’s Grocery on Dr. Martin Luther King Way and U.S. 301, at 3 p.m.

Zimmerman, 29, was acquitted last week in the teenager's death.
