Sign Up Now for Free Teen Driver Challenge

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is accepting registrations for the next Teen Driver Challenge, a defensive driving and vehicle control program designed for young drivers.

The free program includes classroom instruction and training behind-the-wheel.
The course is designed to provide teen drivers with the knowledge and understanding of the forces created by an automobile and the effects of the forces on the human body.

There are two sessions of the Teen Driver Challenge to choose from: October 25-26 or November 1-2. Classroom instruction is held Friday from 5-9 p.m., (at The Landings in October or Laurel Nokomis School in November). Hands-on training is held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the driving range, 6664 West Price Boulevard, North Port (next to North Port High School.)

For more information visit www.SarasotaSheriff.org and under “Public Interest” click Youth Programs and choose Teen Driver Challenge. Registration forms can be downloaded from there.
